EDE - In an unassuming building on Peppelensteeg, a piece of Dutch technological history comes alive every second Tuesday. The VERON Afdeling Wageningen (A43), founded just months after WWII ended in 1945, continues to bridge generations of radio enthusiasts with its unique blend of tradition and cutting-edge experimentation.
A Living Legacy
As one of the Netherlands' oldest amateur radio clubs, A43 boasts:
📻 79 years of continuous operation since October 1945
🔧 Shared clubhouse with VRZA Zuid Veluwe in Ede
🌍 International reach through IARU membership
"During the postwar years, our members helped rebuild Dutch communications," says Fred Verburgh PA0FVH, the club's correspondent. "Today we maintain that innovative spirit."
