The Acadiana Amateur Radio Association (AARA), operating under the call sign W5DDL, is a vibrant club dedicated to fostering the growth and enjoyment of amateur radio in the Acadiana region. Whether you're a seasoned operator or just starting out, AARA offers a welcoming environment, educational resources, and exciting opportunities to connect with fellow enthusiasts.

A Rich Legacy of Service

Founded in 1953, AARA boasts a long and distinguished history. They are an ARRL Special Service Club, demonstrating their commitment to public service and community involvement. With over 60 active members, the club provides a platform for learning, collaboration, and contributing to the wider ham radio community.

What the Acadiana Amateur Radio Association Offers:
