Whether you're a seasoned operator or just starting out, WA5ARC offers a friendly and supportive environment to learn, connect, and share your passion for ham radio.

A Community of Engaged Radio Hams

Established in 2006, WA5ARC fosters a dedicated group of eight active members. They meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month at the Franklinton Fire Department, providing a platform for members to connect, share knowledge, and participate in club activities.

What WA5ARC Offers:

  • Become Licensed: WA5ARC offers entry-level and potentially higher license classes to equip you with the knowledge and skills to obtain your amateur radio license.
  • Test Your Skills: Information about exam sessions isn't available online, so it's best to contact the club directly to confirm if they offer testing opportunities.
  • Find a Mentor: Connect with experienced members who can answer your questions and guide you on your ham radio journey.
  • Be Prepared to Serve: WA5ARC is committed to public service and emergency preparedness initiatives. Lend your skills to a worthy cause!
  • Explore Diverse Interests: The club caters to a variety of ham radio interests, including DX (long-distance communication), general operation, public service, repeaters, and VHF/UHF communication.
