About TARA: The Tri-State Amateur Radio Association, based in Huntington, WV, serves amateur radio operators in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. Organized in 1924 and incorporated in 1956, TARA is an ARRL-affiliated club with the call sign W8VA. The club hosts a range of activities, including an annual hamfest, field day, and ARRL VE test sessions. Ham Radio License Testing:
