TO9W – St. Martin DXpedition Update

The TO9W DXpedition team, currently operating from St. Martin, has provided a few updates on their activity:

Current Status (Dec 4, 2024)

  • Equipment Issue: One of the radio/PC combinations is malfunctioning, which has led to the team operating with only one station for some time. This has caused frustration and delays as troubleshooting continues.
  • Additional Operator: The fourth operator has just arrived, and the team is working to set up two stations, with hopes to get the second station fully operational soon.
  • Antennas: All antennas, except for the 160m antenna, have been installed and are functional, including the receiving antenna.

2023 Activity Recap:

  • Dates: The 2023 TO9W activation took place from November 25 to December 8, 2023.
  • QSO Count: The team successfully logged almost 28,000 QSOs across all bands, from 6m to 160m.
  • QSL Info: The OQRS is open for QSL requests. All QSOs have been uploaded to LoTW, with no charge for LoTW or Bureau cards. QSLs are still in the process of being printed, and a full report with statistics will be shared soon.

Plans for 2024:

  • The TO9W team will return again in 2024 for another round of activity from November 30 to December 13, 2024.

Stay tuned for more updates as the team continues to work on resolving equipment issues and pushing forward with their operations!
