Club Description: SOARA is an active full-service club that supports all facets of amateur radio. The club operates 7 analog and 3 digital (D-Star) repeaters from 4 sites and hosts multiple weekly HF, VHF, UHF, and digital nets. Monthly general meetings feature guest speakers on a variety of amateur radio topics. The club also conducts equipment auctions twice a year, technical sessions, classes, licensing sessions, transmitter hunts, and social gatherings. SOARA actively participates in ARRL Field Day, Winter Field Day, and other events.

The club supports several local city ARES/RACES Emcom groups, Orange County Fire Watch, and numerous public service activities in South Orange County, CA. Guests are always welcome at all events.
