Club Description: RCARA has been a vital part of the Riverside community since 1955. The club welcomes anyone interested in amateur radio and actively provides communication support during public service events throughout the year.

A weekly Public Service Net is held every Monday at 7 PM to foster emergency preparedness, with bulletins on upcoming activities and events. The net can be accessed via the W6CDF Box Springs Repeater (224.460 MHz, -1600 KHz offset with a PL of 110.9 Hz), linked to the 2M repeater.

RCARA also hosts a 10 Meter Round Table Net on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM, allowing members to use their HF gear and engage in lively conversations. The club's 2M repeater, located on the roof of the Riverside County Administrative Center building, ensures emergency power and reliable communication across Riverside and surrounding areas.

Above all, RCARA emphasizes amateur radio as a service. Members volunteer their expertise for public service events, including emergency services, scouting events, walk-a-thons, races, and community events. Ham operators pride themselves on readiness for emergencies such as earthquakes, fires, or floods, providing critical communication when conventional means fail.
