Repost: VU7T – Laccadive Islands

The VU7T team has received permission to activate the Laccadive Islands for the WPX CW Contest 2025. The operation will take place from May 22 to May 28, 2025, including travel days.

Plans include:

• All HF bands using simple vertical antennas near the beach.

• QO-100 satellite operation, marking the first time it's been activated from the Laccadive Islands.

• A local operator, Fahad (VU3FFB), is part of the team—helping promote more future activity from VU7.

Due to the late approval of permissions, the setup will be modest with two HF stations planned, subject to travel and baggage logistics.
