✅ ARRL Confirms Legitimacy
The ARRL has officially validated the January 2025 SV1GA/A activation from Mount Athos for DXCC credit after a thorough review of documentation, including:

• Amateur radio license

• Diamonitirion (official pilgrimage visa)

• Signed & stamped 10-day operating permit

• Police investigation confirming all paperwork was valid

• Thessaloniki Prosecutor’s Office dismissed all charges

🎙️ Despite early controversy and reports of being shut down by local authorities, the operation has been ruled compliant and legal.

💬 Team’s Statement

“Our goal was to reopen the door to Mt. Athos. We’re thankful for the support, and we regret not making more QSOs.”
