Repost: PJ6Y – Saba Island DXpedition

Co-leaders Gregg (W6IZT), Dean (W2FQ), and Jeff (NM1Y), in collaboration with Youth on the Air (YOTA), are thrilled to announce their upcoming DXpedition to Saba Island! The team is scheduled to arrive on Saba on October 17, 2025, and will be on the air through October 29, 2025. Their primary operating site is set on the north side of the island at an elevation of approximately 1,200 feet.

Key Highlights:

  • Team Composition:

    • 14 on‑island operators, including eight young operators under 25.
    • Four of these young operators have already gained valuable experience as remote operators in the recent 3D2Y DXpedition to Rotuma.
    • They will be supported by an additional 25–30 remote operators.
  • Stations & Equipment:

    • The expedition will offer 3 stations for local operators.
    • Special thanks to the Northern California DX Foundation for their generous grant, which is funding the construction of two NexGenRiBs2 stations based on Elecraft K4Ds for remote operations.
  • Operating Details:

    • Frequency coverage will span from 80 to 6 meters plus satellite, and the team will participate in the CQWW SSB contest.
  • Fundraising & Support:

    • Donations are being accepted to help cover all expenses for the young operators.
    • Contributions can be made via PayPal at donatepj6y2025@gmail.com or by check payable to:
