Repost: C5PL – The Gambia DXpedition Update

The C5PL team, consisting of operators LB0OG, SP1C, SP1FM, and SQ1GU, have been actively operating from The Gambia and Senegal from February 1-6, 2025. They were QRV on 80-6m, with a particular focus on 20-10m using CW, SSB, and FT8 modes. The team also made sure to operate from various POTA and WWFF locations, including the Tanji Bird Reserve, West Kiang Marine Park, and Delta du Saloum National Park.

Unfortunately, the team faced a setback when one of their computers crashed, resulting in the loss of FT8 logs from January 31 and February 1, 2025. They mentioned that there’s only a small chance of recovering these logs, so if you had a QSO during this period and haven’t received confirmation via Club Log, it’s best to try reaching them again.

Logs from the operation will be uploaded to Club Log, and QSLs will be handled via LoTW for easy confirmation.

Despite this technical glitch, the team’s hard work in bringing The Gambia and Senegal to the airwaves during this period has been much appreciated by the DX community. Be sure to check the logs and try again if needed for any unconfirmed QSOs!
