The Rebel DX Group has encountered significant weather delays while attempting to set sail for Rotuma, with massive waves and rough seas causing the crew to wait at the harbor. The team had planned to be QRV, but the adverse conditions and tent damage have resulted in them going QRT earlier than expected. Despite the challenges, they were able to continue operating on several bands, including a few FT8/FT4 sessions.
The crew has completed uploading their logs and will process log corrections and requests once they return to Fiji. The operation faced unexpected issues, including high seas and some technical setbacks, but the team remained determined to make as many QSOs as possible, especially with priority given to FT8 operations. Their return home is expected to happen soon, and they aim to finalize LoTW uploads once back in Fiji.
Stay tuned for final updates and QSL information.
