Repost: 3B8M – Mauritius

The 3B8M team is returning to Mauritius for the CQWW CW contest, set to take place on November 29–30, 2025, where they will compete in the Multi/Multi (M/M) category. Operators include G0CKV, KX7M, 4O3A, and others. The DXpedition is a field-day style operation based on a small islet with antennas erected shortly before the contest and taken down immediately after.

Last year, operations were challenged by Cyclone Bheki, requiring antenna takedown and emergency preparation. The antenna setup includes vertical wires on Spiderbeam poles, a K9AY loop for low-band RX, and VDAs for high bands, with experimental stacking for directional flexibility. The team operates with K3, FTdx10, Flex radios, and various amps (SPE, Juma, PGXL).

For QSL, check Club Log OQRS. Stay tuned for on-air signals and weather updates closer to the contest window.
