Known for its rich history, technical innovation, and commitment to fostering the amateur radio spirit, the club continues to inspire and connect operators of all ages.

A Rich History
The Ortsverband Köpenick traces its roots back to the days of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), when it operated under the call sign Y44ZO from the Pionierpalast in Wuhlheide. The club played a pivotal role in training young radio enthusiasts, broadcasting the central listener roundtable under the call sign Y62Z from 1983 to 1990. After the reunification of Germany, the club continued its mission under the call sign DL0FEZ, offering licensing courses and training programs that have produced many of Berlin’s amateur radio operators.
