Club Description: The USS Hornet Amateur Radio Club (HARC) operates from the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum, a storied WWII aircraft carrier. HARC aims to promote amateur radio and the history of the USS Hornet, engaging both the community and the ship's past and present members. The club is proud to use the call sign NB6GC, honoring the ship's original call sign NBGC.
HARC hosts special events from the Ken Fowler Radio Room, supporting SSB, CW, and Digital operations. The radio room is equipped with vintage Harris RF-350 transceivers and an Icom IC-7000, using original HF antennas from the ship. HARC also offers Boy Scout Radio Merit Badge Programs and one-day Tech class exam preparations with exam sessions.
