MM0UKI – Flannan Islands, EU-118

The MM0UKI team — G4PVM, M0SDV, and G0VJG — is now active from the Flannan Isles (EU-118), a rarely activated IOTA. After battling rough weather and gale-force winds upon arrival on April 27th, they now have two stations on the air, operating SSB, CW, and FT8, and have already logged nearly 1,000 QSOs.

Currently QRV on 40m, with plans to expand to other bands as conditions and time allow. The team is hopeful the weather will improve to allow them to retrieve a third station from the landing site. They aim to remain on the island until May 1st.

This is the first activation of EU-118 since June 2010, making it a prime target for IOTA chasers.
