Lehigh Valley ARC: A Long-Standing Hub for Amateur Radio

Founded on June 22, 1928, the Lehigh Valley Amateur Radio Club (W3OI) is one of the oldest and most established amateur radio clubs in the region. With a rich history and a commitment to advancing the hobby, the club offers a welcoming environment for both new and seasoned operators.

Club Highlights

  • Monthly Meetings: Held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Tri-Clover Fire Company in Orefield, PA. These meetings are a mix of technical talks, community outreach, and fellowship.
  • Club Specialties: The club engages in a variety of activities, including contesting, digital modes, DX (long-distance communication), public service/emergency communications, and VHF/UHF operations.
  • Services: Members benefit from a club newsletter, license test sessions, mentorship programs, and on-the-air bulletins. The club also operates repeaters for its members.

Membership

With a robust membership of 91 individuals, including 41 ARRL members, the club is an active participant in both local and national amateur radio events.
