Club History and Evolution

The club was founded in 1971, coinciding with the start of electrical engineering training at the school, initially as part of extracurricular activities. From its beginnings with basic tube transmitters and receivers, the club has continuously evolved, embracing digital radio technology. Over decades, they have made countless contacts and participated in numerous radio communication contests. Many individuals have gained foundational radio knowledge, passed amateur radio exams, and obtained transmitting licenses through the club.

Today, the club provides opportunities for students and interested individuals from Gyöngyös and the surrounding area to learn about amateur radio using modern, factory-made transceiver equipment.
