Using 2G, 3G and 4G full-network connectivity, the N55 enables nationwide push-to-talk communication wherever mobile coverage is available, breaking through the distance limits of traditional radio systems. With web-based back-end dispatch functions, the system supports group assignment, GPS positioning, remote recording and other management tools. An optional 3200mAh battery extends working time to around 30 hours, helping solve common field problems such as insufficient endurance, difficult remote dispatch and equipment vulnerability.
For passenger-service staff, the device is designed around speed and simplicity. Side keys allow users to check network and battery status quickly. The front P1 and P2 keys can be configured for shortcut groups, allowing staff to switch groups and initiate group calls or individual calls directly from standby mode. In railway service, where passenger needs and operational changes can emerge without warning, reducing the number of steps required to communicate can make a real difference.
Talkpod also provided Guangzhou Railway Group with dedicated programming software and a client-side dispatch platform. The system supports customised shortcut keys, automatic contact synchronisation, intelligent backlight settings and other personalised configurations. Through secondary-development interfaces, it can also be adapted to meet the special dispatch requirements of railway operations.
