Firecracker Hamfest 2024

The Rowan County Amateur Radio Society invites you to the annual Firecracker Hamfest! This exciting event is a great opportunity for ham radio enthusiasts to gather, exchange equipment, and enjoy the vibrant community.

  • Indoor Hamfest: Doors open at 8:00 AM
• Location: Salisbury Civic Center, 315 S. Martin Luther King Ave., Salisbury, NC 28144

Admission and Vendor Information:

• General Public Admission: $5.00
• Outdoor Sales Begin: 6:00 AM
• Indoor Setup: 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM
• Vendor Table Fees:
  • First table: $10.00
  • Additional spots: $5.00 each

Activities and Highlights:

• Food and Refreshments: Enjoy delicious food from the Hot Dog Shack of Granite Quarry.
• VEC Testing: Begins at 10:00 AM. Test takers must bring their FCC FRN Number (apply at FCC.gov), a government-issued photo ID, and a copy of their current Amateur Radio license if applicable. The test fee is $12.00.
