The Middle East Tennessee Emergency Radio Service (METERS), operating under the call sign KC4EM, is a unique organization dedicated to providing timely and effective communication support during emergencies in the greater Knoxville, Tennessee area.

What METERS Offers:

  • Regular Meetings: METERS meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Tennessee Technology Center - Liberty Street Campus.
  • Public Service Focus: METERS is a dedicated public service organization with a strong emphasis on training and equipping amateur radio operators to assist served agencies (like fire, police, and emergency management) during disasters and other emergencies.
  • Educational Opportunities: METERS offers comprehensive training programs for both amateur radio operators and members of the general public.
