Founded in 1953, W5ABD boasts a rich history of serving the Westside ham radio community. With over 10 active members, the club provides a platform for collaboration and fosters a spirit of camaraderie among operators of all experience levels.

What the Westside Amateur Radio Club Offers:

• Become Licensed: W5ABD offers entry-level and potentially higher license classes to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain your amateur radio license.
• Test Your Knowledge: The club offers licensing exam sessions, so you can qualify to become a licensed operator.

• Connect and Share: Attend monthly meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7 PM at the West Jefferson Medical Center (1101 Medical Center Boulevard, Marrero, Louisiana 70072). These meetings provide a platform for members to network, share experiences, and learn from each other.
