Description

The Catawba Valley Amateur Radio Society (CVARS) was formed in 2019 to provide a ham radio community for operators in the Catawba Valley and surrounding areas. The club's purpose is to promote amateur radio, foster fellowship among operators, build community relations, and assist with emergency communications when needed. CVARS hosts two weekly nets on Thursday evenings:

  1. DMR Net: Thursdays at 7:15 PM on a linked BrandMeister & TGIF DMR talkgroup 31678 and bridged with D-STAR Reflector XLX913H.
  2. Analog Net: Thursdays at 7:30 PM on the WA4PXV repeater (146.850 MHz, no tone) and linked with KC4IRA (444.075 MHz, 100 Hz tone).

CVARS also conducts a test session on the first Saturday of every month. Details about testing and other events can be found on the club's website or Facebook page.
