A Vibrant Community for Ham Radio Enthusiasts
Nestled in the heart of Tennessee, the Bristol Amateur Radio Club (W4UD) has been a cornerstone for amateur radio operators since its inception in 1956. With a mission to foster knowledge and camaraderie among hams, the club stands as a beacon for both newcomers and seasoned operators.
Engaging Meetings and Hands-On Support
Meeting on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Bristol Regional Medical Center conference rooms, the club offers a welcoming environment for its members. These gatherings feature informative programs that cover a variety of topics in amateur radio, from contesting and DXing to digital modes and emergency communications.
For those pursuing their licenses or upgrades, the club provides VE Testing after each meeting, covering all levels from Technician to Extra. In addition, a dedicated team of mentors is always available to assist new hams in getting on the air and improving their setups.
