Description
The Boeing Employees Amateur Radio Society - St. Louis (BEARS) consists of current and retired employees of The Boeing Company's St. Louis facility. Due to the nature of the defense industry, membership is not open to the general public. BEARS provides backup emergency communications services for the St. Louis metropolitan area, supports St. Louis County ARES, and operates/maintains the amateur radio stations at Boeing's St. Louis Emergency Operations Center. The club also provides portable communications for public service events and participates in STEM outreach programs.
