The Bayouland Emergency AR Service (BEARS), operating under the call sign W5BMC, is dedicated to public service and emergency preparedness. Whether you're a seasoned operator or just getting started, BEARS offers a welcoming environment to develop your skills, contribute to your community, and become a valuable asset during times of need.

A Legacy of Service

Founded in 1984 and designated as an ARRL Special Service Club, BEARS boasts a long-standing tradition of supporting the community. With over 12 active members, the club is committed to ensuring effective communication in case of emergencies or disasters.
