ARI Velletri (IQ0VL): New Leadership, Continuing Legacy

Velletri, Italy – The A.R.I. (Associazione Radioamatori Italiani) Sezione di Velletri, "Goffredo Tredici," identified by its call sign IQ0VL, recently elected its new President and Board of Directors. This section has been a long-standing reference point for amateur radio enthusiasts in Velletri.

New Leadership for 2023-2026 Triennium

On Sunday, October 15 (year not specified, but likely 2023 given context), the elections for the renewal of the Presidency and Board of Directors of ARI Velletri were held. The assembly of members elected the following:

• Giancarlo Felici IK0ADY - Vice President
• Vittorio Giannetti IK0PRP - Auditor

The presidency, previously held for many years by General Luciano Martella IK0OXK, has now passed to Paolo Gigante. On the sidelines of the voting, the new president extended thanks on behalf of all members to the outgoing president.

He noted that Luciano's actions and long presidency enabled ARI Velletri to gain many recognitions through its activities and, crucially, helped gather radio amateurs from many neighboring areas, which brought prestige to the Velletri section. He specifically highlighted the high caliber of Luciano Martella not only as a President but as a person.
