In Memory of I2RRG Angelo Arrigoni
The ARI Pavia section holds the memory of Angelo Arrigoni, I2RRG, a cherished friend and radio amateur. Flaviano Moro I2MOV shared a heartfelt email recalling their connection:
"Hello Ennio and Tino,
Looking through my album of memories, I found an old photo of I1RRG (later I2RRG) taken in my courtyard in 1970 next to my newly installed cubical quad antenna mast.
Angelo Arrigoni was from Breme. His mother lived in Breme, and whenever he visited her, he would regularly come to my house to say hello.
I've also attached his QSL card confirming our first QSO (radio contact) in 1967. I also have a QSL card from him as an SWL (Shortwave Listener) I1-12247, which he sent me in 1966 when he didn't yet have his license.
Angelo was born in 1930 and unfortunately passed away in 1988. He is buried in our cemetery in Breme.
I have a great memory of my friend I2RRG, whom I even connected with from the bell tower of Breme during a 144 MHz contest.
A warm greeting to all of you, 73!
Flaviano I2MOV"
