Monterosi, Italy – The A.R.I. (Associazione Radioamatori Italiani) Sezione di Monterosi, initially identified by its call sign IQ0MX and now by IQ0AAN, was founded on January 3, 2010. It was established by the current president, Dario Padovano IZ0HDB, along with other radio amateurs from the area. ARI Monterosi originated from a split from the ARI Viterbo section, created to serve the southern part of the Viterbo province, where no other sections existed.

Honoring a Founding Member: Tolmino Tamantini (I0QQT)
On August 25, 2023, following the sudden passing of dear friend Tolmino Tamantini I0QQT, a lifelong resident of Monterosi, the Section's Board of Directors, in unanimous agreement with its members, decided to dedicate the section in his name. This was a recognition of his role as one of the founding members and his status as one of the oldest and most active members.
The founding members of ARI Monterosi are: Enrico Giorgio Ricciatti IZ0OBR, Archimede Padovano IZ0JSE, Luigi Fatica IZ0PVL, IW0BNW, IK0FMB, IZ0DRC, and the late Tolmino Tamantini I0QQT (sk).
The section's official call sign is now IQ0AAN (formerly IQ0MX).
Active in Emergency Situations and Local Events
ARI Monterosi is highly engaged in various activities within the amateur radio world and emergency situations. Its members actively support local authorities in many events, demonstrating their commitment to public service through radio communications.
