Inception and Dedication
In late 1975, a group of technicians from G.T.E. in Cassina Dè Pecchi (a company specializing in radio links for telecommunication, later Siemens and Nokia Siemens Network) decided to establish an Amateur Radio Club. They dedicated it to "Francesco Vecchiacchi" (Camporgiano 1902, Milano 1956), a renowned Italian engineer, professor at Politecnico University of Milan, and a pioneer in the study of electrical circuits and telecommunication networks.

Evolution and New Home
On November 26, 1977, the committee formally decided to apply to become a local branch of the Italian Radio Amateurs Association (A.R.I.). One year later, on November 11, 1978, the first shareholder's meeting elected the new committee. Since then, the club has changed several locations within Cernusco sul Naviglio and Pioltello.
Finally, on June 6, 2001, the section moved to its current location in Cernusco sul Naviglio, finding a home in the I.P.S.I.A. "E. Majorana" school. It was at this point that it adopted the name "A.R.I. Cernusco sul Naviglio." Over the years, many notable figures in the history of radiotechnical and amateur radio activity, individuals with high "HAMSPIRIT" (the spirit of amateur radio), have graced the club with their membership, including Ing. Danilo Briani I2CN and Ing. Ernesto Viganò I2BEV (both SK - Silent Key, meaning deceased).
