Bologna, Italy – The A.R.I. (Associazione Radioamatori Italiani) Sezione di Bologna, identified by its call sign IQ4UXJ, is an active local chapter for amateur radio enthusiasts in Bologna. The section meets on Fridays from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM at the address c/o Presidente - 40125 Bologna BO. For inquiries, you can contact President IU4LAN Angelini Alfredo. Their website is www.ari-bo.it.
Urgent Appeal: Participate in Section Elections!
The Bologna section is facing a critical moment, as recent elections had to be postponed due to a lack of candidates (only 3 members offered their availability). Consequently, the old Board of Directors (CDS) will remain in charge, but only for ordinary administration, without making any new decisions, until a new board is elected.
An urgent call has been made to all members: If you want the section to continue to exist and thrive, you are invited to actively participate by submitting your candidacy for the Board of Directors and the Board of Arbitrators (Probiviri) for the 2025-2028 triennium.
Elections are scheduled to take place in April 2025. Any member in good standing with their 2025 membership fees, the A.R.I. statute, and section regulations, is eligible to run.
Candidacies could be submitted in writing via postal mail to the section's address (c/o Centro Sociale Croce – Via Canonica 18 – 40033 Casalecchio di Reno), deposited in a special ballot box, handed directly to an Arbitrator, or sent via email. The deadline for email submissions was March 14, 2025, to the Section's Board of Arbitrators at css@ari-bo.it or directly to IZ4DLN Giovanni Pedrini at pedrini.pedrini@alice.i.
The Board of Arbitrators, responsible for overseeing the elections, emphasized the importance of these elections as the most significant opportunity for members to participate in the section's life, ensuring the new Board can operate effectively.
